Holiday Lights in San Jose

There's a visible difference between lights that were hung and lights that were installed. Good work uses clips — gutter clips, shingle clips, ridge clips — sized to the roofline, never staples or nails, which pierce insulation and leave holes in your fascia that drink winter rain. Runs get measured and planned so plugs land where the power actually is, connections stay up off the wet ground, and the line follows the roof edge straight instead of drooping between random anchor points. Circuits get counted, not guessed — a whole house of light strings daisy-chained into one outlet is how breakers trip on Christmas Eve. And a timer goes in, because nobody wants to be out unplugging lights in the rain at midnight.

The South Bay season is mild but wet, and water is what kills displays. A December storm floods an unprotected connection, the GFCI trips, and half the house goes dark until someone finds the reset — so we seal and elevate every connection for exactly that reason. The houses matter too: single-story ranch rooflines around San Jose and Santa Clara are quick work, but two-story homes and the steep, brittle tile roofs in Almaden and the hillsides need proper ladder work and careful footing — walked wrong, concrete tile cracks. Flat and low-slope rooflines take different clips entirely. And on the bigger Morgan Hill and South Valley lots, the job is often less about the roofline and more about trees, long fence runs and getting power out to them.

We install in November and early December, and the calendar genuinely fills — booking before Thanksgiving gets you a better slot. We'll hang lights you already own or supply commercial-grade strings, plan the runs and power with you up front, and set timers so the display runs itself. If a section goes dark mid-season, we come back and fix it. Then in January we return, take everything down, coil and label it, and pack it away so next year starts organized instead of tangled. Everything is priced flat before we start, with install and takedown quoted together. We never staple into your fascia or walk tile we shouldn't. It's a ladder job done by people who do ladder jobs all year.
